Matsuda Dyeing Shop has a workshop in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture.
They hand-dye using a unique technique called “tsutsugakizome”, which has a long history. Utilizing this technique, we rebuilt the design from SOU’s unique perspective and took on the challenge of creating items that harmonize with lifestyles outside of Japan. We created a bold design with the SOU logo placed in the center, and we aimed for a design that would make the pattern look impressive even when unfolded, folded, or wrapped around something. If you want to make a furoshiki with your store’s logo or your name on it, SOU can help you get it done quickly and in an ideal procedure!
It is a square piece of cloth used to wrap and carry things, and is a traditional Japanese item. They can be used to wrap several goods together or wrap bulky item, like a wine bottle or a pizza box. Because of its simple shape, its uses are not limited. How you use it is up to you. SOU’s Instagram account introduces ideas on how to wrap and use it.
